Loyalty Program: Extra Care
BASICS OF THE PROGRAM:
1. Give your card at check out
2. Get Sale Prices
3. Get Extra Care Bucks Back to use on another purchase
-You must use your EC card to get the sale price and Extra Care Bucks
-You will earn 2% in Extra Care Bucks that will print once per quarter
-Certain items (or combo of items) will print out “ECB” when you purchase them (these will be advertised in the Sunday ad)
-You can stack a store coupon, a manufacturer coupon and Extra Care Bucks.
-Extra Care Bucks print immediately after your purchase on the bottom of the receipt
-You can use these ECB on almost anything in the store
-Unless there is a “limit” (which is advertised on the ad or the tag in the store) you can use those ECBs on that same item again!
-ECBs need to be treated like cash- CVS most likely will NOT reset or re-reprint them for you. BE CAREFUL because if the paper gets hot the entire paper will turn back and be worthless!
-If a promo is for $$ECB when you buy $$$ worth of PRODUCT – that amount is BEFORE coupons! Makes for great deals
-CVS does not limit the amount of ECB or coupons you can use per transaction.
-Your ECB and coupons (email AND kiosk) are linked to your card. You cannot transfer these to other accounts or people.

TIPS:
- Be sure to register online you will get weekly emails from them, most of the time including coupons!
- Be sure to scan your card at the red kiosk that is in the front of the store. It will print some AWESOME coupons out. Even if you don’t use those coupons THAT trip most are good for at least a week
- Give your coupons in this order to maximize your benefits:
o $ off a $$ order (like $5 off $25)
o Extra Care Bucks
o Manufacturer coupons
o Store coupons
- The items that offer Extra Care Bucks are VERY specific (size, flavor, etc)
- MOST items at CVS are WAY overpriced. Regularly. I would honestly never buy anything there unless it offers Extra Care Bucks AND I have a coupon for it!

USE: 1 $1.00 off Crest Toothpaste in the P&G book

Buy 1 item @ $1.00 (like a CVS green tag- which you put on a reusable bag and get $1 ECB per 4 trips)
USE: $1 CREST P&G coupon
Total Due: 2.99
USE: 2.99 ECB (only pay tax)
GET: $2.99 ECB AND .25 towards you're ECB quarterly amount!
Total Value: $6.98
Total OOP: 2.99
Total Rewards: 2.99 for next week!
