NEW Corona $10 Meat Rebate

One of my BIGGEST tips during my coupon workshops is to start with the BEER!  Yep, the beer aisle is my favorite place in the grocery store.  And I don't drink (My husband does though!)

In North Carolina, alcohol companies are not allowed to require a beer/alcohol purchase for rebates or coupons.  Today, I found this:

It was on a Corona display in Harris Teeter.  It was not actually IN the beer aisle but rather on a "pallet" by the meat displays!  the rebate reads" Save $10 when you purchase ANY beer, seafood, and/or poultry item(s).  No beer purchase necessary."  Just send in the form, fill in the UPC codes  and the receipt with the price of meat circled. 

You will get a $10 refund check.  Yes I LOVE beer! this expires 7/31/2011.

Harris Teeter Triples Tips

Are you heading out to get some deals at Harris Teeter this week (or maybe you are already there!  Last coupon event people were lined up before the stores opened!)

 

A few things to remember:

1. Have back up coupons.  It is almost guaranteed that they will be out of something (most) of your "freebies" by this afternoon (wonderful for me since I don't get to go until late tonight!)

2. You CAN use more than 20 coupons but only 20 will triple.

3. B1G1 sales- buy only 1 per day so you can use a coupon on each product!

4. GET RAINCHECKS on everything on sale that is out of stock.  It won't make your coupon triple BUT you can get that sale price again! (I edited to add "out of stock" )

5. Be nice to your cashier :)  It is going to be a CrAzY week for them!

6. Come back and tell us how you did and/or any other great deals you found!

Don't be disappointed!

One of the most important things to know about couponing is the store policy of where you are shopping!  This is especially important during a coupon event like Triples (starting tomorrow, Wed). 

Here is the run down of the main points of Harris Teeter's coupon policy:

- Only 20 coupons will be tripled PER DAY PER HOUSEHOLD PER VIC CARD.  All others will be accepted at face value.
- Only 1 VIC card per household
-Only (3) like coupons will be doubled, others will be redeemed at face value
-NO internet for free or B1G1 free coupons will be accepted
-Only (1) coupon per B1G1 "set" so if it is a $/2 items you must purchase (3) items.  Like items now include all flavors
-You cannot split up transactions to override any of these limits

How I walked out of Walmart putting money IN my wallet!

So I have never been a big Walmart shopper.  I just find better deals at my Lowes Foods or Harris Teeter BUT I went today for two reasons (1) I wanted to test their giving cash back policy when a coupon is more than the retail price and (2) my Daughter got her birthday money and wanted some Littlest Pet Shops and I refuse to allow her to waste her money on the overpriced ones at Toys R Us!   So we went.  This is what I got:

I got (11) Reach Flosses at 8.88 that was $9.68 in product, .75 in tax so an actual PROFIT of $2.57.  Yes, the drawer opened, the cashier reached in and gave me $2.57 in CASH BACK!  Be aware it takes a few minutes because a CSM has to approve the refund.  But I got it!  Amazing. 

And my daughter got her littlest pet shops for MUCH cheaper then at Toys R Us!



Please note I did NOT clear the shelves!  There were still some left.  I had wanted to pick up some razors that were rumored to be free (they would have been) but they were out.  I still have Reach Coupons and the razor ones so I will make another trip next week when I go to cash in my Kohls Cash I got today (I only went because they had emailed a $10 gift and when I used THAT they gave me another one!!!)
